Sign up for Edline using directions you received in the mail (ask your parents if you haven't seen it). Homework will be available ONLY on Edline starting Monday!

Math
- Problem 2.1 Introducing Addition of Integers
You must show a number line (drawn with a ruler) for all number sentences in part A.1. See this example for proper graphing conventions. No homework stamps will be given for messy work done without a ruler!!!

You can find the problems and answers under Math Files on the Team C website (make sure to scroll down to correct your answers: BE HONEST and don't forget to re-do the wrong ones!) You DO NOT need to print it out --- just download it as a pdf so you can enlarge the view on your computer.

Science
- complete anything you haven't finished in your binder from pg. 1-18 (all handouts will be stamped for completion next week)
- copy down the following into your Class Conclusion for M&M Investigation #2 handout (pg. 20)

Claim: When M&Ms are put in waters of different temperatures, the one in hot water dissolves faster than other ones in waters that are not as hot.

Evidence: The second we dropped all three M&Ms inside the plates with water, the color on the M&M in the hot water already started to dissolve. It took the M&M in the room-temperature water about 10-15 seconds and the M&M in cold water about 30 seconds to start dissolving. By minute two, the M&M in cold water looked white because the color had faded, leaving the sugar coating. The room-temperature one had its sugar coating half dissolved. The hot water one was completely brown showing the chocolate core.

Reasoning: Heat melted the M&M fastest because the atoms in hot water move much faster, and therefore had the ability to disassemble the M&M’s molecules much faster.
